Design, tendering & contract administration

This section of the Squamish Trail is a popular city access route and recreation area. It required consultation and coordination with utilities agencies and had a strict timeline.

This 385m section of trail in the highway right-of-way followed an existing gravel trail which connects the old highway alignment. Design included a small retaining wall, and minimum 1.5:1 fill slopes on both sides of the 3m wide paved trail.

We required extensive consultation and coordination with utilities agencies as both Telus and BC Hydro lines crossed the trail alignment. The project had a strict timeline due to funding constraints and was finished on budget and on schedule.

This section of trail acts as a key access route to the downtown area and is enjoyed by many residents and visitors.
